Internships

Students can apply to do their field placement/experience and/or internship at YPI. We accept interns from a variety of educational settings including: MSW, BSW, Women/Gender Studies and Psychology programs. We also accept a limited number of high school student interns and Senior Project students.

The process is simple and begins with completing the application and submitting releases to conduct a Background Criminal Investigation (BCI) . Once we receive your educational agreement and BCI, a short informal interview is conducted with a staff member. During the interview, we’ll give you a tour of the space, explore YPI’s needs, your skills and interests. Afterwards, you’ll participate in short orientation session to familiarize yourself with YPI’s culture, youth and staff. All internships are unpaid. Please contact Kerri Kanelos to apply.
