Drop-In Center

YPI has a drop-in center that is open 40 hours every week for our young people, ages 13-23. Come check out our space at 743 Westminster St. in Providence, RI

We have tons of hang out space and great people to meet! Play some games, eat a healthy meal, get support and/or make new friends in a safe environment! There is something different happening every day at YPI. Check out our calander of events to see upcomming programs and activities.

We strive to make our Drop-In space is a safe place for everyone. In order to keep it that way, we count on our youth to uphold our Community Norms and to hold each other accountable for things such as keeping the space neat and clean. It is not uncommon for someone to ask you "what pronouns do you prefer?" or "what is your preferred gender pronoun?". We do this to be sure that we are addressing people by the names and pronouns with which they identify. 

If you are visiting us for the first time and are a little nervous- you are not alone! A lot of youth have told us that the hardest part about coming to YPI was getting up the nerve to walk in the door for the first time, but that once they did, our space quickly begins to feel like a second home.
