“BREAKING the Silence: A Guide to Creating Nurturing Environments for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning Youth” is a comprehensive guide to assist direct care providers and school faculty in providing safe, sensitive services to LGBTQQ youth and students. Included is information about the obstacles LGBTQQ youth face, concrete suggestions to improve youth service settings and a list of resources. In addition, definitions for various terms, suggested readings and sample policies are located in the Appendices of this publication.
